My Writing Process
Every writer has a different method.
There is no one, true way. It would possibly be easier if there were, but there isn’t, so everyone has to figure out what works best for them. This is something that can take a long, long time for some people — I very much doubt I’ve figured out the perfect way that works for me! But this is how it works for now.
Fantasy Subgenres
Fantasy has always been my most-read genre of book. Magic, creatures, exotic locations – these things have always appealed to me.
But there’s different ways of delivering on these things, and fantasy is itself a broad genre. But that’s okay – that’s what subgenres are for! A subgenre can help you find a more specific type of fantasy story than just “fantasy”.
Q2 Update
Good news, everyone!
I have finally finished developmental edits on Lost Blades! This marks a big step forward, as the book is very close to its final form now. I sent it to the copy editor this morning; I should get it back in late May. Then it will go to proofreading and audio production, keeping on track with an expected September release.
Welcome!
In 2010, I started writing a book.
To be more accurate, in 2010 I started outlining a book. I spent about a year worldbuilding and outlining. I decided it would be four, maybe five books, following a Hero on a Quest to get four special artifacts in order to make a magic sword with which he could kill the demon-summoning wizard who murdered his sister.
