All the Swag for Lost Blades

It’s here!

“But, Liz, what’s here?” you may be asking. (Well, probably not, because you’ve in theory read the title of the blog post, but allow me to pretend.)

All the fun stuff for Lost Blades!

Was it too early to design all this stuff, considering the book isn’t supposed to come out until September? Almost certainly, but I’m excited and I like designing stuff, so here it all is.

Swag for In-Person Purchases

There are a bunch of fun goodies for buying directly from me at in-person events.

Bookmarks

There are two options — one in red with the Crystal Light Blade on it for Jamirh, and one in blue with a katana on it for Takeshi. You can pick which option you’d like! The back of both is the same with the series information and tagline and the Lost Blades cover design.

Map Postcards

There are two maps in the front of Lost Blades, but they aren’t in color. This isn’t too much of an issue — they are available for free to look at here on my website — but if you buy from me directly you get two 8.5”x5.5” postcards with full-color images of the maps, plus the continent map. Great to look at while reading! Or just to look at, if maps are your thing!

Stickers

We have four vinyl stickers of our main characters! Jamirh, Takeshi, Jeri, and Hel have all been chibified into these adorable little 2.5” stickers. I can’t wait to start putting them on things. Which one is your favorite? I don’t think I am leagally allowed to have a favorite, but I love them all!

Preorder Bonuses

While all the above items are only available if you buy directly from me, there are a number of fun digital goodies everyone who preorders Lost Blades can receive regardless of where or in what format you purchased it! When preorders go live, there will be a form on my website where you can submit a screenshot of proof of purchase and supply your email, and then when the book goes live you’ll receive the following in your inbox:

Hi-res Digital Maps

I like maps. I’ve always enjoyed flipping to the map at the front of the book I was reading to see where the characters are or just look at the art. But some people don’t like flipping, and that’s okay! And I personally find it a little difficult to keep swapping back and forth in an ebook between the chapter and the map. So all three maps will be sent out digitally. You can print them, keep them open in another tab or device, whatever floats your boat. The map of the continents, the map of the countries, and the map of western Espon are all included.

Desktop and Phone Wallpapers

Or backgrounds, whatever you’d like to call them, featuring the cover art for Lost Blades. There are even two versions of the desktop one — a plain version, and one with box overlays in case you (like me) like to organize your desktop icons.

Array Digital Kit

Magic is a big part of Blades of the Goddess, and while I can’t give you any actual abilities, I can share with you how the arrays are created by mages. The Array Digital Kit includes a special font made of the glyphs used to create the arrays (or patterns, if you prefer the Nifoni terminology), a character map so you know what letter corresponds to what glyph, and a pdf explaining the basics of creating a spell.

Additionally…

I also have bookplates! If you did not order from me directly, but would still like my signature to put in the book, you can email me a screenshot of proof of purpose and your address and I will mail you a signed bookplate you can put in the book for free.

And that’s all the fun stuff!

….For now.

Cheers!
