Broken Blades Teasers!
I can’t believe it — as of last Friday, I’ve published two books! Two!
I won’t lie, I’m exhausted, especially since I had two more books - Colors of Magic and Blades Reforged - go on preorder at the same time. So for this blog post, I thought I’d do a roundup of all the Broken Blades teasers. Enjoy!
Jamirh - a thief from Lyndiniam. Jamirh often finds himself out of his depth in Romanii, where magic is real and four-foot tall wolves roam the streets. He’s been learning how to wield daggers to defend himself.
Takeshi - a shinobi from Ni Fon on a mission to help his country break away from the Rose Empire. His quest has led him through the Empire, and now he is trying to follow Hel’s directions to seek out Romanii and Ander.
Ander - The eighth high priest of Hades, Ander is a scientist and doctor. He is currently the only priest of Hades living in Tarvishte. He has spent the last 300 years caring for his saltwater reef aquarium.
Jeri - A member of the Black Watch of Romanii. She’s taken it up on herself to ensure Jamirh settles into his new home in Romanii, and has been teaching him how to wield daggers.
??? - One of the many wargs who live in Tarvishte. She is well aware that the two-feet cause far more problems for themselves than they need to, and is determined to at least save one two-foot from themself.
Want, responsibility, choice. It kept coming back to the same concepts. If he were being honest with himself, Jamirh could admit that he had never had any sort of responsibility before. He’d always looked out for himself first and foremost.
But it turned out a lot of things he’d thought had been wrong. So many questions, and so many lies. Everything he’d thought he’d been doing was predicated on lies covering up more lies. How far back did it go? Was anything this mission was based on true?
Abomination was more like a virus — something mindless that simply sought to replicate itself in a way that would destroy its host. On the other hand, that meant it was always people who were responsible for letting it take root over and over again.
Hades - The goddess of death, destruction, healing, and rebirth, Hades is also the patron goddess of Romanii. She refuses to tolerate the presence of Abomination in the world.
Rhode - A colonel in the Empire’s military, responsible for the development of the prism sphere for interrogation purposes. He is determined to find out more about Hel.
